Moffat is approximately one
hour's drive from either
Edinburgh or Glasgow. Leave the M74 / A74(M) at
Junction 15 and follow the signs to the town for about
one mile. |

If coming from the South,
Moffat is 44 miles north of
Carlisle and a 20 minute drive from Dumfries. |

Several Borders towns are
within a short drive to the east
of Moffat. There are abbeys at Melrose, Kelso, Dryburgh
and Jedburgh. Smailholm Tower (good fun just finding it)
is a typical Borders fortified house and Abbotsford, the
home of Sir Walter Scott is well worth a visit. For many
